opening salvo goes awry

I went to check out the attack ads for myself. This one caught my eye. The ad alleges that Dion + his shadow cabinet equal a return to the old Liberal status quo. The title reads "Back to the Future". Did this strike anyone else as an odd mixed message? I think the future is where we want to go. Wouldn't "Back to the Future" in fact make for a good Liberal campaign slogan? i.e. Dion will get us back on a progressive track with regards to the environment, etc after Harper derailed us, etc. etc. I think what they meant to say was "Forward to the Past". But they didn't. Anyways, if this is what the CPC PR machine is churning out I think we might be OK. I may actually take next election off.

UPDATE: Someone else noticed first.

Please tell me when Dion put us on the right track?

If Harper gets a deal passed on the environment, he'll beat Dion on this big issue of his by a country mile.

It's happening. Sorry to break the news to you Liberals.

Yeh Denise, the only deal harpor is interested in signing will be to sell more oil and more water faster. But have you noticed that some of the Cons' shots at the Liberals are also broadsides to the Alberta economy -- the growth of greenhouse gases, tax incentives for tarsands exploration/innovation. You take Albertans for granted and you'll end up with one angry bull on your behind.
But now that the Cons mentioned it, 'You didn't get it done' is a slick slogan. I can see our ads during the next election: 'Conservatives went into Ottawa and promised to handle the debt. Harper went into Ottawa and promised accountability. They didn't get it done. But Stephane Dion and the New Liberals have a plan. And just like eight successive balanced budgets, they have the purpose to Get It Done.'
Yep, I'm gonna go copyright it now...
