lame

What a bust. Not quite a million man march. I guess the white man must soldier on, and continue to bear his oppression.

Meanwhile, Gary McHale can return to Richmond Hill and start talkin' what he knows.

I've personally never heard anyone in the Caledon matter claim that white people are oppressed.

The people of Caledon, however, are in big trouble and the governments should have stopped this nonsense months and months ago. It shouldn't have gone on more than 4 weeks at most. This is a disgrace on all of Canada - why can no elected officials bring some resolve to this issue?

I've never heard of Gary McHale, actually. I just mean the people in Caledon.

In spite of McHale's greatest efforts, I for one am really pleased that it amounted to nothing.

I heard McHale on Friday state that there would be thousands of supporters there and that we should just watch as the OPP came out in riot gear to oppose them. Idiot is too polite a word RT.

There is no question that this dispute has gone on far too long, though the complexity of claims that reach back so far in history, makes me wonder if they can actually ever be resolved.

jason bo green, it's Caledonia actually, not Caledon.

Good grief, that's embarrassing.

I think that Caledon was the kingdom of Prince Dorian in Hercules, come to think of it.

Well, Hercules could handle this whole situation.

jason, I wasn't trying to be rude, quite the opposite. I simply wanted to point it out, because this issue is pretty heated. My SIL lives in the area and it gets crazy.

I didn't know how many people would get on this blog and attack a reference, that I know you made, without malice.

If you don't know the name of the town, I'm willing to guess you haven't investigated too closely the land claim that undergirds this issue. Until that happens, yours is a very incomplete understanding of the occupation.
Elected officials should bring resolve by resolving the claim through negotiation. That's an ongoing process, and no one is going anywhere until it is complete.
